What an absolute disgraceful show of a hotel!!!! Booked via booking.com in August for a 2 night stay 1st December to 3rd December……was towards the bottom end of budget but as it was so local to Hyde Park and Winter Wonderland etc we weren’t that concerned about some of the reviews as it just a bed for a couple of nights….. Arrived 4pm Friday to be greeted by what can only be described as the worst receptionist I’ve ever had the displeasure in meeting!! Apparently they don’t have a booking for me for the 2 nights and have no rooms available despite actually emailing me the Friday morning to say we look forward to you staying with us. By all accounts it’s booking.coms fault and their system hadn’t allocated properly the booking against my name….so having fought with the useless reception with the personality of a dirty dish cloth for 30 minutes we tried Booking.com customer service instead…they were as about as helpful as a chocolate fire guard told us they would try to get us another hotel and call us back with a new reservation within 45 minutes……..nope didn’t happen so ended up trying to book a Travelodge or premier inn last minute. To be honest probably done us favour because from the look of the reception area and the net curtains on the hotel windows the place was a complete dump/tip trust me I’d be using stronger language if I was allowed on here. Note to ones self**Do not stay here or use booking.com**

Affordable, Clean & Quiet w/excellent location

This is a modest hotel. It was clean & quiet. I chose it for both the price (low) and the location (1 block from Hyde Park). We had a tiny room with 2 twin beds. This was perfectly satisfactory for us as we were NOT there to sit in our room! They did include breakfast but we never got down there as it was early. Perfect for someone needing to get to work or an appointment. Though they are in a prime location the room was very quiet. Even with our window open all night we were not disturbed. The man at the front desk was very helpful when I had questions & expedited arrangements to extend our stay. There are many pubs in walking distance, one directly across the street. An Italian restaurant on the block got a lot of business from us. Modest, clean, comfortable beds, excellent location. We walked a LOT but both Underground station & bus stops near by.

Worst hotel ever - save your money and go elsewhere

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Rooms look nothing like the pictures. It feels like a run down hostel. Very disappointed as this was booked for my birthday. The rooms aren't even in the same building as the reception area - you have to go to a fire escape door around the corner to get to the rooms. They tried to put us in a basement room with no window. Asked to be moved only to get a room with huge windows that had a block of flats directly opposite with residents able to stare into our full room. It felt like a creepy hostel. Would have paid max £30 for a room like this rather than the £265 per night they charge. Do not stay here.

Booked this well in advance for 7th - 10th July and they cancelled it in April once they knew BST Hyde park was going ahead saying that they were closed for a year due to renovation works, leaving me stuck for a hotel at a reasonable price. Surprise surprise they are now taking bookings again for the same dates at 4 times the price! Absolutely disgraceful. Here is the email they sent me:- 'Thanks for your booking with us. We are sorry to inform you that we are going to be closed most of the hotel for one year because of major construction works We’re not able to accommodate you, so please try to book alternative accommodation. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and we look forward to seeing you in the future. Thank you and Kind regards Reservation Dept' AVOID - Cannot be trusted to honour bookings.
